Today I offer a prayer for boldness. Being an extreme introvert, I have needed to rely on God’s power in my life to help me be more willing to share my faith. I’m still an introvert as God created me to be, though God provides me the boldness to speak up / out in alignment with His will.
Father God, our Glorious Lord and Provider, You graciously bless us with everything we need to obey You. May we, made righteous through Jesus, be bold as lions and not flee like the wicked. May we be powerfully filled with Your Holy Spirit and speak Your word with boldness. Since we are filled with such power and hope we can be very bold and not hide our faces in fear. We can confidently say “You O Lord are our helper; we will not fear; what eternal harm can humans do to us when You protect and guide us?” You have commanded us to be strong and courageous; to not be frightened or dismayed, for You O Lord are with us wherever we go. May others see our boldness, know that we are common people, yet still be astonished by our relationship with Jesus. May we proclaim Your Kingdom and teachings with all boldness and without hindrance. We rely on Your Spirit to provide the words when we proclaim this gospel message. May we fan into flame Your glorious gifts, for You have given us a spirit of power, love, and self-control, through the power of Jesus, amen.
