I’m finding myself rather distracted and unfocused this morning, with wandering thoughts. So, today I offer a prayer to hopefully help us focus on God.
Father God, our Magnificent Lord and King, holy is Your name. Father we long to seek You and return to You with our whole hearts, so that we may find You. You have given us hearts to know You, for You are our Lord and Creator. Please let the words of our mouths and the posture of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight O Lord, our Rock and Redeemer. Thank You for delivering and honoring those who call out to You, answering and protecting us in our time of need. May we learn to forget the past and the distractions of this world, focusing on what lies ahead, laying aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, so we may run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who is seated at the Your right hand. Only then will we have no fear of bad news, and our hearts will become steadfast, trusting in You our Lord. Thank you that if we lose all hope, we can turn our thoughts once more to You, and You will hear our prayer, both now and forever, amen.
