Today I offer a prayer for restoration – whether you’re struggling physically, emotionally, spiritually, or a combination of those, God is the one who restores us.
Father God, our Gracious and Merciful Lord, holy, holy, holy, is Your name. Thank you for sending Jesus who was appointed for us, who will one day fully restore everything according to Your promises. May we return to You, for You have torn us so that You may heal us; You have struck us down, so that You may bind us up. We repent of our sins so that You may blot them out, so times of refreshing may come from Your presence. Instead of shame, You grant us a double portion; instead of dishonor, we can rejoice in our inheritance; You give us everlasting joy. Though we currently suffer in this world, one day You, the God of all grace, will call us into our eternal glory in Christ, who will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us. For all of us who are born of You overcome this world, and the victory that has allowed this is our faith in You. All those who thirst may come to You, the living water; even we who have no money can come buy wine and milk without money and without price, for You are a generous and loving God. All who are weary and heavy laden can come to You and receive rest, for You restore our souls. You lead us in the paths of of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Your grace has appeared, bringing salvation and restoration for all people. Thank you for restoring to us the joy of our salvation, and upholding a willing spirit within us. May all honor, glory and praise be to You, our Lord, Savior, Restorer, and King, forever and ever, amen.
