Today I offer a prayer of gratefulness for who God is, and what He has done for us. To name everything about God and His works would take us a lifetime, so of course, this prayer will not be exhaustive (or I would be exhausted before finishing).
Father God, You who made us, our Creator Lord and Savior, all praise, honor and glory be unto Your name. We are Your people, the sheep of Your pasture – may we enter Your gates with thanksgiving and praise, blessing Your wonderful name. We rejoice in all the good You O Lord have blessed us with, for Your great works know no bounds and reach every person of this world. You have invited us into a kingdom that cannot be shaken or conquered, and we worship You in all reverence and awe. You have loved us with a steadfast and everlasting love, remaining faithful to us, even when we have sinned against You. You have shown boundless compassion and forgiveness according to Your abundant love. In You we live and move and have our being, for we are Your offspring made in Your image. You have done great things for us so we are glad, and we give thanks in all circumstances for this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus. We have been crucified with Christ, who loves us and gave Himself to be a sacrifice for our sin, so we give thanks to You O Lord for Jesus Your most wonderous gift. Thank you for providing everything that is good for our enjoyment, encouraging us to remain rich in good works, be generous, and speak the good news as a foundation for that which is truly life. Every good and perfect gift comes from You Father, in whom there is no variation or change. We bless You with our souls, and all that is within us. May we never forget You, or any of Your blessings, for as long as we shall live. Amen.
