Today I offer a prayer for blessing others. God calls us to His service, and the main way we serve Him is by serving those who are made in His image (that’s every human, by the way).
Father God, our Glorious, Generous Lord who showers immense blessing upon us, we praise Your holy name. Father we are so blessed by all that You do for us, and through us. Just as You have shone Your light before us, please help us to let our light shine before others, so they may see Your good works and give You the glory. May we humbly count others as more significant than ourselves, looking to their interests and needs. For each of us is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You prepared beforehand, that we should obediently walk in them. You say that whoever brings blessing to others will be enriched, and one who waters will be watered themselves. Please help us to do for others what we wish they would do for us, thus fulfilling the Law and the prophets. May we contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Lord please remind us to do good, and share what we have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to You. May we seek to honor, glorify and praise You in all that we say and do, forever and ever, amen.
