Today I offer a prayer to celebrate the many ‘small’ blessings from God. These are easy to overlook, yet, if we’re faithful to thank Him for each one we purposefully see, we can experience more joy (and blessing) in our lives.
“Father God, our Loving and Generous Lord who showers us with many blessings, we praise Your holy name. You promise that if we trust in You, despise sin, speak the truth, and do not walk according to the wisdom of this world, we will be blessed. We thank You for supplying for our every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes down from You, our Father of Light, with who is consistent for all of eternity. We praise You for knowing all that we need, before we even need it; when we seek Your Kingdom first, You graciously supply more than we need, just as You care for the grass of the field and the creatures of the earth. As we endure each passing trial, if we remain steadfast and perseverant, not wavering in our faith, loving You with our entire being, You promise to bless us with the crown of life, a reward beyond our wildest imaginations. May we continue praising You for every ‘small’ blessing, knowing that these are only glimpses of the blessings to come. May we never cease to praise and thank You, using every breath for Your glory and honor, from this day forward, forever and ever, amen.”
