Today I offer a prayer for Security and Strength in God. It’s often easy to become overwhelmed in our physical circumstances, so reorienting ourselves toward God our foundation is extremely important to keep us grounded.
Heavenly Father, You are our light and our salvation, whom or what shall we fear? You are the stronghold of our lives, the fortress in which we safely dwell, we need not fear. When evil comes against us it is our enemies who falter and fall. Though they make war against us we can be fearless and confident in Your provision. The one thing we ask is to remain rooted in Your kingdom, both here on earth and for an eternity in heaven, to gaze upon Your holy beautiful visage. You shelter us in times of trouble and conceal us from harm, lifting us high up to a secure place. You set us apart from our enemies as we serve and honor You with shouts of joy, singing praises unto Your name. When we cry out to You we can trust You will listen and answer, showering Your grace upon us. We seek You with our whole hearts and You do not turn away from us. Please continue to have mercy on us and forgive any sin, not forsaking us in any way. You are the God of our salvation, taking us in even when others turn us away. Teach us Your ways O Lord, and lead us on paths of righteousness, delivering us from our enemies and false witnesses. We shall always look upon Your goodness for we have received life to the fullest. We wait upon You O Lord, our source of strength and courage, we wait on You, forever and ever, amen.
