Today I offer a prayer for connection. I’m not sure about you, but lately I’ve felt a little disconnected from people outside of my household. Part of our calling is to love our neighbors, and we cannot do that without building / restoring / maintaining connection.
Father God, our Loving and Compassionate Lord, You are holy and magnificent beyond our description. Your Word continually reminds us that relationship is an integral part of living out our faith, and so we ask for Your help in maintaining and restoring those connections. It can be struggle for us Father, not being able to see each other face to face. We are absent from one another in body, yet we can remain firmly connected by Your Spirit, rejoicing in You and the firmness of our Faith in Jesus. May we continue to build each other up in love, helping each person grow, increasing connections to a larger community. May we continue to strengthen and encourage one another, like iron sharpens iron. May we release any grudges or desires for vengeance and love our neighbors as ourselves. May there be no divisions among us, so we can be united in the same mind and judgement in under the name of Jesus. May we continue to equip each other for work in Your ministries, serve each other through love, and build up the body of Christ. Please help us to love one another with familial affection, outdo one another in showing honor, and exalt Your name together, forever and ever, amen.
