Today I offer a prayer for faithfulness and consistency. It’s easy to have seasons where we spend more or less time with God based on our busyness – I’d like to encourage all of us to remain as consistent as possible with God. We can know from scripture and experience that He blesses those who prioritize their relationship with Him.
Father God, our Faithful and Steadfast Lord, Your ways and works are above all others. Father You show us what it means to be faithful, steadfast, and immovable. May we always abound in Your good works, in labor that is not in vain. May we never grow weary of performing such works, for in due time there will be a fruitful harvest if we do not give up. You promise that we will be preserved and overtaken with blessing if we faithfully obey Your voice, and carefully follow Your commands. You promise to exalt us above other peoples of the earth for our faithfulness. You say that if we are faithful, and willing to consistently work hard we will abound with many blessings. May we clothe ourselves in love and faithfulness, and fill our heart with them, so we may be fruitful and find Your favor. Thank you for blessing those who delight in Your commands, meditating on Your word day and night. You make us like fruitful trees which are planted near streams of water – we will never wither, and will prosper all of our days. Jesus we thank you for remaining the same today as You were yesterday, and the same as You will be tomorrow. We praise, honor and glorify Your holy name, forever and ever, amen.
