Yesterday we talked about inviting God to remove the sin, barriers and stumbling blocks we have place between us and Him. Today I offer a prayer along that theme.
Father God, our Glorious and Holy Lord, we come before You today as a broken, yet hopeful people. We confess that we have sinned against You, creating barriers or divides between the two of us. We humbly thank You for the redemption available through Jesus’ blood, and forgiveness of our sin, according to the abundant riches of Your grace. As far as the east is from the west, is how far You remove our sin from us. We were reconciled to You by the death of Jesus, and we are saved by His life, making peace with You by the blood of His cross. Not only did You reconcile us to You through Christ, You gave us the ministry of reconciliation, entrusting us to share the message of reconciliation with those around us. You have made us ambassadors for Christ, so You may make Your appeal through us. We praise You for reconciliation, and the removal of sin and obstacles in our lives that keeps us from fully reaching You. In all these things we honor and glorify Your name, forever and ever, amen.
