Today I offer a prayer for our leaders – those who have influence in the lives of others – that they may find their guidance and strength in God alone.
Father God, the our Greatest Ruler and Sovereign King, holy, holy, holy is Your name. We think of all those in this world who have the ear of another, and ask for Your Spirit’s guidance upon them. May they trust in You forever with all their heart, and lean not on their own understanding, for You are the Everlasting Rock. May they ponder the paths of their feet, and find surety in their ways. May they learn to abide in Jesus, for He is the vine and they are the branches, bearing much fruit when rooted in You. May they believe in You and have rivers of living water flow out of their hearts. We know that we can do all things through You who strengthens us, so we will seek You and Your strength, in Your presence, without ceasing. Thank You for supplying every need of ours, according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, forever and ever, amen.
