Father God, our gracious and merciful king, we come before you today weary and heavily laden. Please give us rest, relieve our burdens, and teach us from Your gentle heart so we may find rest for our souls and bodies. Please help us to lack nothing, so we may lie down in lush pastures by still waters and simply soak in Your presence. In those moments of solitude may we enter into Your true rest, a rest that refreshes our entire being. Thank you for promising an easy and light load for those who rest in You, for we are in desperate need of this. Jesus in You alone are we restored to perfect relationship with God, and Spirit through You alone do we receive the guidance we need to live balanced lives. All honor, glory and praise be to You, O Lord our God, our Place of Shelter and Rest. Amen.
